Precautions for operating injection molding machines:
Developing good operating habits for injection molding machines is of great benefit to extending the machine's lifespan and ensuring production safety.
I: Before starting up:
(1). Check if there is any water or oil inside the electrical control box. If the electrical components are damp, do not start the machine. It should be dried by maintenance personnel before starting.
(2). Check if the power supply voltage is within the standard range, generally not exceeding ±15%.
(3). Inspect the emergency stop switch and the safety door switches at the front and back to ensure they are functioning properly. Verify that the rotation directions of the motor and the oil pump are consistent.
(4). Check if all cooling pipes are unobstructed and supply cooling water to the oil cooler and the cooling water jacket at the end of the barrel.
(5). Ensure that all moving parts are lubricated with oil (grease) and add sufficient lubricating oil if necessary.
(6). Turn on the electric heating to heat up each section of the barrel. Once the temperatures of all sections reach the required levels, maintain the temperature for a period of time to stabilize the machine's temperature. The duration of heat preservation varies depending on the equipment and the type of plastic material.
(7). Add sufficient plastic into the hopper. For some plastics, it is best to dry the raw materials before injection molding.
(8). Cover the insulation hood on the barrel to save electricity and extend the lifespan of the heating coils and current contactors.
II:. During the operation:
(1) Do not casually disable the safety door for the sake of convenience.
(2) Pay attention to observing the temperature of the pressure oil, and do not let it exceed the specified range. The ideal working temperature of the hydraulic oil should be maintained between 45 and 50℃, and generally, it is appropriate within the range of 35 to 60℃.
(3) Pay attention to adjusting the limit switches of each stroke to avoid impacts when the machine is in operation.
III:. At the end of work:
(1) Before shutting down, the plastic in the barrel should be cleaned up thoroughly to prevent the remaining material from oxidizing or decomposing due to long-term heat exposure.
(2) The mold should be opened to keep the toggle mechanism in the locked position for a long time.
(3) The workshop must be equipped with lifting equipment. When installing or removing heavy components such as molds, extreme caution should be exercised to ensure production safety.
